Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I just signed up for this forum to acquire more information on RV traveling.
We have a new Lance 1191 truck camper on a diesel Ram truck and can tow our Jeep wrangler.
We love traveling and will be able to do it for extended periods now that i am retiring.
Our first round trip will be from home, Phoenix AZ, to the west coast scenic highway up through CA, and OR to Seattle. Then on to Glacier NP and back home. We are fairly serious hikers and will be taking advantage of the many mountains and national forests along the way.
Of course there will be many other trips for sailing and closer hiking for a week or two at a time during the year.
May also be doing addition Europe trips. We already hiked across northern England (Coast to Coast walk) and would like to hike in the mountains of France or Spain.
Next year we will do a loop from home to Key west to Maine and back visiting friends and family. I hope the diesel prices stay low for the foreseeable future.
The following year maybe Canada or Alaska for 3 months.
You should also take a took at the On the Move blog at gconthemove.com/. Glenn and Caiti travel, and sometimes workcamp, in a Lance truck camper. They have a ton of information about the RV life in a truck camper.
Welcome! I have gathered so much information on this site, and the people here are great to communicate with. Ask your questions, share your thoughts, and share your adventures!
Right behind you Brother! April 30th is my date. We will be leaving Florida a day or so after that for the Grand Canyon. Allowing 30 days to get there and 4 months to get home when we're done!! Good luck hope to see you all on the road.
