Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Keeps getting better

Hi.  We are Robert and Cheryl Welsh, along with Abby, Rocky and Remy (3 Cairn Terriers).  Have been full time RVing in our 32ft Lifestyle 5th wheel for 2 years.  After spending the last 5 months in Palm Springs, Calif., we are heading north.  Looking at making our way to Florida next winter, with lots of adventures along the way.  Met Howard and Linda at Lake Almanor a few years ago, and they have inspired us to pursue our dream.  Thanks for all your help.

Hubby & I are planning to get a 5R "almost" FT. We'll still be working while we're traveling. (H-sports writer/photographer. W-accountant) Do you have any advice/suggestions for FT in a 5R?

Sorry I didn't answer sooner, but haven't been on in a while. As far as full timing in a 5th wheel, it is a great way to go. Have read Howard's post on how to pick a 5th wheel and agree with him with regard to length. We have a 32 ft Lifestyle. We would probably go a bit longer if we had to do it again. As far as brand, do a lot of research. We purchased a Lifestyle because they purchased the rights to the Carriage chassis (they are out of business) and they made a high quality 5th wheel. Our rig is beautiful and meets our needs, however, we haven't had much luck with their customer service. Howard has a lot of good information on his post.
