Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Yep now we have gone and done it ....Traded in our 2014 Trilogy and our 2012 Ram 3500 DRW 4 x 4 on Saturday While we are in Florida for a months break went to a show at Daytona Motor Speedway and lo and behold there was our new rig (ok we just didn't know it that minute) but 4 hours later we were the owners of a 2016 Fleetwood Expedition 38K diesel pusher.
And how did this come about? Well we were on our way from our workamp job in Texas to Florida and after hooking and unhooking 3 days in a row and getting the dogs in and out of the truck numerous times, I started looking at the class A again, we found 2015 that fit our needs at a great price ...but it was sold before we could out to look at it ....I was ot happy, tried to deal for another one same exact model at another dealer but salesman was playing the numbers game until I called him out , so we said heck we might as well go to the show and the rest is history. Then I had to send a break up email to the salesman at the unnamed dealer. hopefully he leaned the lesson of don't jerk me around my money is good everywhere... we pick it up next week sometime but unfortunately we won't have a toad , good thing we know some people here if we need anything !

Two sides to every story and when u want to trade a almost new fiver and truck on new motorhome its always a numbers game
that how it works
Yes, i know its a numbers game , we didn't owe a nickel on either one of them , and I wanted straight up numbers , I have little patience for the game, I know about how much our trades were worth , and I also know what the prices for the Expedition go for ...but anyways we got what we wanted , I guess it just takes a little time and searching to get the deal
Congratulations Scott. You sound like us when it comes to dealing with any salesmen that try to pull the wool over our eyes. These are the questions - what are your answers = too much fluff not straight forward coming = NEXT.
Enjoy your new Rig :)

Thanks Someday! The RV dealer we purchased from was very good , the salesman we met on the way into the show very nice but he was still a little green and I even taught him a few things he was unaware of on the DP, I felt like I was in college cramming for an exam trying to learn all I could about the rigs we were interested in . and best of all it was a smooth transaction....now if we can hold our excitement in check until our pick-up day ..
Yes the avatar is one picture, we didn't get any really good pictures as they had the coaches so close together , we will put post on our blog page after we pick her up !
