Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Look like a great group!! And you can count us in, we plan to roll into Q some time after the 4th of Jan. and probably hang around in one spot or another until early Feb.
THAT'S JUST NOT FAIR!!! We are STILL trying to vacate our room at the hotel! Oh, and did I tell everyone we have a job? Yep, we have been at the hotel for so long we are now the official greeters and occasional taxi! Really! Life is good in Shipshewana!
Last night was fun, as we're still stuck in this area waiting for our new axle to arrive, it was nice to be around people who understood what it meant to be waiting on repairs and anxious to get back on the road. Just something some of our non-RV friends "don't get".
So happy we finally got to see Kyra again, last winter we kept missing her in AZ by 24-48 hours and we never could get synced up in WA last summer.
Always fun to see the Fergs again, of all the RV friends we've made, I think we can easily say they are some of friends we've crossed paths with the most, certainly the ones we have dined with in more states than anyone else we've met in the RV life, OR/WA/SD/CA/AZ/NV, who knows where we'll meet next??
Hoping to be in Quartzsite late Jan / early Feb. Maybe this time a get together could be on a weekend when those of use still working can attend!!
We are "planning" on being there... for what that's worth! Should be heading south from Indiana by year-end. Should! Looking forward to meeting new, yet familiar, peeps!
Jo & Craig - hope you get out of Indiana soon, haven't heard much of an update recently. Really hope you can get out of the hotel soon, I'm not sure I would have your patience.
Ruth, I was going to razz you about your 'several week' set-back, but thought better of it! ;) I will post an update somewhere as soon as the new rig is in our name. Yes, 5-6 months of being homeless has certainly been challenging, but we have been covered by God's grace and we are fine. We certainly hope we can get out of the north before the snow falls, though! Look forward to meeting you and Dale, and everyone else for that matter!

Dang, Ruth. From the looks of that picture (and it might be because of the camera in a phone), I'd say you need to let Dale have more on his plate. He's looking a bit peaked.
Seriously, all you folks are looking good, and I'm really happy that these forums have been an aid in making this one great big happy family. More kudos to Howard and Linda, as well as all the forum members, for that family.
Terry

LOL Terry, it has to be the cell phone. Dale loves to eat and he is just blessed with one of those metabolisms that allow him almost anything and still stay thin. I'm blaming the cell phone and the lighting, looking at the photo we all look a little pale.
Really enjoy how this forum helps us connect and re-connect with friends and new acquaintances on the road.
Jo and Craig - glad you two are hanging in there, I'm sure you are really looking forward to getting back on the road again. I know it's been a long set back. We struggling with the fact that we're on our second major delay of the year in the same location we were last spring, this time it was the 5th wheel, in the spring it was the truck, but when I can honestly say we've been to this same restaurant multiple times this year with different friends, well, I don't know about you, but I'm ready for some new scenery. And honestly, if the axles don't arrive today we'll be moving from Plan D to Plan E and potentially cancelling our Thanksgiving family fly away plans.
We take it just one day at a time, Ruth. If we even try to look or plan beyond that, we're screwed! It's a crazy life we are living, but I do know one thing... I have TRULY learned patience. The lack of patience has always been my worst enemy. This has all been a God thing. I am brand new! Whew! I am redeemed!! Needless to say, we look forward to getting settled in our new home... one day "soon"! We're good and we must be strong because WE'VE MADE IT!!!
We will be in Q around Jan. 9th and will stay until April 15th when we head north to Alaska. We will be back at La Posa South again and look forward to some get togethers!
We will also be working at the Escapees booth at the Big Tent during the show so stop on by and say hello!

Tracey - let me know what route you plan to take to get to Q. We'll be gone again by Jan 3rd or 4th, planning to spend the week between Christmas and New Year's in the Borrega Springs area, there's some hiking trails that have our names on them Maybe we can meet up in So Cal before you go to Q.
