Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
After several years in planning, Tracy and I finally hit the road today to start our full-timing adventure. As many on this forum know, it is not a simple process to get to this point. As we sit here in our first RV park... we are exhausted, but very, very happy. We are looking forward to what life dishes out over the next several years.
The main purpose of this post is to thank the folks that helped turn our RV dreams into reality. We have attended two of Howard and Linda's rallies, which were instrumental in preparing us for this "life style". While we are still a little nervous after taking this first step, we are so much more knowledgeable about the financial, emotional, and practical issues... and how to handle them because of their gracious sharing.
Also, thanks to all of you on this forum. I don't often post on the forum, but I read just about everything you post... which has also enriched our knowledge of full-timing. What a great bunch of folks Howard and Linda have gathered!
Congrats Ron and Tracy, and safe travels for you. Enjoy your future adventures.

Enjoy! I found the first year to be a huge learning experience. 3 months into year two. Best advice I can think of is slow down and enjoy the adventure. We did 14000 miles year one. MI to NC to CA to FL back to NC and finally MI. All in 6 months. Whew! Too much. But through it all, it was hard to wipe the smiles off our faces. (except on Thanksgiving; it was a tough holiday for me.)
Congrats and best wishes to you both. I'm sure things will get easier and less stressful as time goes on. We hope to be heading out on the road within a couple of months also. Can't wait!
Take care and be safe!

Congratulations! And make sure to post in a few weeks to let us all know how it's going. Any surprises or was it smooth sailing? It's a beautiful country!
