Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hello everyone. It's been awhile since I have been on here. It's a busy busy time. We've got the house on the market. The rental property will be listed as soon as we can get over there to clean. We're working on the yard here as we have 7 acres. Winter and wind has left a mess that has to be cleaned up. I am forever cleaning this house to prepare for showings. You never know when the realtor will call. We are so ready to end this part of the journey!!! Hope everyone is doing well and are having happy trails. Do any of you follow the posts on Facebook that pertain to RVing? Does RV Dreams have a Facebook page? Most of the ones I have found are not full timing. Ya'll have a great day!! Stay safe..
Sounds like you are well on your way! I remember those days so well but some day it will all be a distant memory. :) RV Dreams does have a facebook page, which I have included below. Plus there is a full time rv'ers page that I follow.
Thank you so much. I've been so busy I haven't had the time to look for a decent group.. not to put anyone down but in the one group someone asked when they were on the road should their slides be in or out. I by no means know everything. But some of the things I've come across I just have to laugh at. I hope I don't cross these peoples paths on the road. Lol
I know some people like the groups with part-timers and full-timers combined, and I can see why they would be important for mechanical issues, but for me I have stuck with this group because nothing else I have found comes even close when talking about the emotional issues surrounding becoming a full timer or living the full time lifestyle. I know there are several niche groups especially for people raising kids on the road, but for me this group has been all I need. That being said, if you haven't gotten to attend a rally yet I highly recommend it. If you have attended one, I further recommend investing in the relationships with the people you meet there. A year ago a large group of us met in Sevierville and through Facebook, email, texts, and phone calls we have all kept in contact. We have created a wonderful, meaningful support system for each other that truly has given many of the us the courage to actually make the leap and get on the road. 5 couple are here together now and are meeting up with others in the next few weeks at the reunion rally. This goes a bit afield of your original comment but I started on this forum looking for a decent group of people whose opinion I could trust and a year later have a group of friends that truly exceeds anything I could have possibly imagined then.
Yes you are right. While I like facebook, this group is just awesome! No drama just friendly banter and great advice. Oh......renters are out!!!!!!!!!! Cleaning crew are at the house cleaning up. Whoo Hoo!!!
