Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
After being on the road for 2 years, Kev and I have decided to go to part-timing. We find that we want to be where we are in Florida at least 8 months out of the year. Kev doesn't really like driving and maneuvering our big truck and rig. And financially it isn't proving to work as well for us as we had hoped. So we are selling the truck and fifth wheel and plan to buy a park model and a smaller truck and travel trailer.
We do love living in this rig. It's a perfect full-timing setup. To us it seems to be the perfect floor plan for a fifth wheel. Of course, everyone has their own ideas about that. What I can say for a fact is that it has been mostly trouble free. We've had no serious problems with either the Big Horn or the Ram truck.
We're asking $88,000 for both. We can sell separately, but the RV must be sold before we can sell the truck.
We had the MorRyde Independent Suspension put on in August of 2013 as well as disc brakes. We also have the built in Progressive Industries EMS.
For all details and a couple dozen pictures please see our Craigslist listing:
Well, the sale fell through. They were selling their house and their buyer's financing fell through. In the meantime they decided they didn't want ours after all. So Kev is fixing some things on the Big Horn, and if we put it back on the market, we'll be asking more, and we might not sell the truck. We've decided to step back and think again. Maybe it just isn't time for us to do this right now.
