Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.


We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Any recommendations for BLM or boondocking areas on the AZ / NM border or in the Las Cruces area as we head back into Texas? Only looking for a day or two.

If you go south of El Paso, stay the night and have dinner at http://www.cattlemanssteakhouse.com/.  The Wal-Mart in Deming, NM is a common overnight and you can dry camp at the Deming Escapees park for a small fee.   You can also dry camp at Pancho Villa State Park in Columbus NM.

Last year in our travels around the country two of my favorite state parks were in New Mexico. New Mexico seemed to have chosen amazing locations for some of their state parks.

City of Rocks was in a very isolated location that had very private camp sites divided by massive boulders. Our campsite looked out onto miles and miles of open land and mountains. Definitely a "10" in campsites for us. Great hiking through the labyrinth of rocks standing like monuments.

Oliver Lee State Park is located at the base of a mountain range. You look almost straight up to shear rock walls on one side and out to thousands of acres of valley on the other side. The hike up into the slot canyon is good. We were there in the Spring and the variety of blooming cactus and flowers was worth the trip.

It wasn't free camping but was worth every cent to be in those two locations. Oliver Lee was also near White Sands National Monument, another must see location in New Mexico.

I loved New Mexico and look forward to going back to spend more time there.
