Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Last night was the first time this winter, that I know of,that our temperature scales align between Canada and the U.S. and I have to tell you I am not a fan It looked beautiful out with clear skies, an almost full moon, the moonlight shining off the snow, you could see well enough to walk without a light...beautiful right? It was -40 with just a hint of a breeze and even though I had 4 layers on it was still just plain cold. Almost hard to breathe at first unless you cover your mouth. My wife and I got back on Dec 16th from a cruise and a stay in Tampa Fl and I can't wait for retirement in 2018 so we can stay in the t shirt and jeans comfort of the fahrenheit scale!!!
Only 3 more years... it will go quick I think. Good news is that there is a RV show in Edmonton Alberta on Feb 7&8 where I want to check out a Lifestyle 38RS that I believe is the right unit for us and we booked a flight to Phoenix AZ for a week in February to get some much welcomed heat. So a hearty "cheers" to all of you enjoying a nice day under the awning and warm wishes to those RVing in the cold. We get it
P.S. Forecast for next week is -4C (about 26F) so I think we'll do happy hour on the deck!! (yeh probably not)
If it makes you feel better, we in the South are expecting a polar vortex and frigid are here in a few days. Ok, maybe not as low as -40, but enough to take off our t-shirts and put on our winter coats.

In my opinion, Florida is great during most of the winter months and that is why we see so many visitors from up north. As a current full time resident spring, summer and fall heat and humidity really wears you down. In some ways these seasons are like the winter months up north where most outdoor activity is either avoided or uncomfortable.
This afternoon's 77 degrees and party cloudy is a pure delight though!

While I sure don't envy you those temps, here in Texas it's been close to freezing most nights for the past week.
Friday and Saturday we're expecting freezing rain.
We really enjoyed Tampa Lee & Trace, stayed at Westin Harbour Island and covered as much of the riverwalk as possible. Weather was between 72 & 76 and sunshine for three days....beauty! Even got to enjoy a Tampa Lightening hockey game while we were there! We're Canadian eh!
Thanks Dave & Denise for putting it back in perspective. You're absolutely right about the other seasons being too hot to enjoy in some places. Nicely done Next weeks forecast is back close to freezing mark and sunshine so perhaps I'll change my avatar to "nomorwhining". Have a great day everybody.
