Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Update on my dad (Lonney Wade)

Hello, this is Michael Wade (Lonney Wade's son)

Friends of my dad may have been wondering why he hasn't been online lately.

First let me start off by saying he's ok now and doing very well...

About two weeks ago (Dec. 17) he called me for help. That morning in the RV he had fallen down and lost the ability to speak...

I finally made out over the phone that he was in trouble and where he was and was able to dial 911 and get the paramedics there asap...

They rushed him to the hospital and discovered a large tumor on the right side of his brain that had stroked out on itself... (so his brain itself did not stroke) There was a lot of swelling...

They immediately rushed him into surgery and removed the tumor...

He was in icu for about a week, then a normal room... and last week monday he was well enough to be moved into the Neuro Rehab wing of the hospital.

He is doing EXTREMELY well!!

His surgeon said that my dad was his "Christmas Gift" with how well he's doing!

He wanted me to update and say "hi" to all his friends on RV Dreams!

He says he misses all you guys!

His left side has needed Physical Therapy but it's doing so much better!

He's doing very well and walking on his own now!

He's scheduled to have his stitches out tomorrow...

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers!

My grandpa Tom is planning on driving him with the fifth wheel to the "circle the wagon"  in Quartside, AZ to meet all of you when he's discharged... :)

At least that's the plan :) It may or may not happen this year. :)

Also, they sold both their business and their house! Yay! Just before all of this happened...

We are very thankful that not a day or two before this happened they got approved for insurance through the Affordable Care Act, and that this happened while they were home with family and not while out on the road!

Thank you very much and Happy New Year!

-Michael
