Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

1st Time Boondocking in Quartzite, AZ

We're going to be arriving in Quartzite mid January and wondered about recommendations for areas to set up "home."  Are there other Michigan campers arriving/arrived?

I don't know how many RV-Dreamers are from Michigan, but here is a thread of RV-Dreamers in Quartzsite - http://rv-dreams.activeboard.com/t59216525/quartzsite/.

Escapees Chapter 6, Michigan, will be having a rally on January 19 to 23 at MM3 of Plomosa Road, which is a 14 day free area.

If you are boon docking and wish to be closer to water, garbage and a Sanidump then I would suggest La Posa South LTVA BLM. $40 for 14 days or $180 for 7 months. Otherwise you will have to pay and dump at The Pit Stop in town.

Safe travels!smile

Thanks...the timing should be good. How's Cell Service out there (particularly Verizon?)

We had a couple of bad days of Verizon Internet a few days ago but that has improved. We use a TracFone so can't comment on Verizon cell but I would think it's good here.

Normally all of the cell towers get overloaded the last two weeks of January, no matter which provider, but still work slowly.

Thanks everyone for the info about cell service. Looks like peak time with people will be slow no matter what.
