Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Finally had our first day off since arriving in Tucson and headed to the VA hospital here to visit Bill and Loretta (Loretta is their forum "handle"). While it was great to see them again I sure wish it had been under different circumstances. Bill has been diagnosed with a rare form of Peritoneal Stomach Mesothelioma which is spreading pretty fast.
Bill was diagnosed just before Thanksgiving November, underwent his first chemo treatment on Monday and is now having issues with potassium levels and kidney function. The current plan is for 2 more chemo treatments and then surgery, but first he needs to have the potassium levels stabilized.
Just thought I'd share this with the RV Dreams family and ask for your prayers and thoughts in support of Bill and Loretta during this time.
And oh yeah, big congrats to the two of them today, they officially tied the knot with the hospital chaplain officiating this morning
Oh, please tell them we're thinking of the also. We had dinner with the 4 of you in Roseville before we headed out fulltime. You all gave us so much info on the lifestyle. We're hoping to meet up with them again in AZ once we're there in April.
Bill and Lorreta gave us a ride to the Desert Bar from the 2013 RV Dreams boondocking rally. Our thoughts and best wishes to you both. Congrats on your nuptials!
Take care

Thoughts and prayers for Loretta, I was messaging with her earlier today on Facebook, Bill's kids are in Tucson with her so she has family support at this time. She said she's "ok" just needs some sleep. Bill was admitted into ICU late last night and passed away a few hours later.
Personally we will miss our meet ups with him, he had a great sense of humor and loved this FT RV life.
Thank you. It is overwhelming to know that so many of you were sending healing thoughts and prayers either online or through personal messages. Bill passed away yesterday morning. I am not sure what the future holds for me just yet, but if at all possible, I want to continue our dream. Thank you again. We have fond memories of meeting everyone and sharing our stories.
We are so sorry for your loss Loretta.
It seems the RV Dreamer family is being tested this Holiday Season.
With continued prayers to Linda & Howard & others.
May Peace prevail.

So sorry to hear of your loss Loretta, our thoughts are with you and family. Bill will always be a part of everyone's heart that has met him. He will be missed.
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss as well. Even though we've never met, I feel like I've come to know you and Bill vicariously through the others who have been privileged to have spent time with you. I'm sending prayers of comfort and strength to you. Please let us all know if there's anything we can do.
