Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Looking for a CG in the Ft Myers area

I am looking for a CG in the Ft Myers area for 3 weeks in February 2015.

CG needs to be close to I-75 with easy access to the Interstate.

Also CG need to be able to accommodate big rigs (we are 43 Ft) and full hookups with a view of the Southern Sky for the Satellite.

Good luck. We are leaving Fort Myers area for February due to not being able to get a reservation for that time. February is the height of snowbird season.

I know, it is tough trying to find space in South Florida during Snowbird Season.

Wow, you were right, Rob. I started doing my research and am running into the same problem of finding a place between Naples and Ft. Myers that has any availability first week of Feb. How are you making out?

Rob and Bill - are you still in Ft. Myers? I'm heading up there this afternoon.

We have moved north to Wildwood, but Neil and Connie are still camped in North Fort Myers at Seminole (http://www.seminolecampground.com/). Seminole was supposed to be full for February, but they do get cancellations. Other places in the area to to try are Upriver (http://www.upriver.com/), Orange Harbor (had signs advertising RV sites just before we left - http://www.orangeharborcoop.com/), Pioneer Village (http://www.rvonthego.com/florida/pioneer-village-rv-resort/), and Julia Park (a bit rundown, but OK, http://www.juliaparkflorida.com/) .  These are all in North Fort Myers or the north end of Fort Myers.

Cheryl - there are plenty of spots where we are in Arcadia if you need a place

We have not made it to the Ft Myers area yet, plans have changed due to needing to stay in the North Florida area and get some medical issues taken care of.

Looks like we will not head South till early March.

Hope the medical issues have a positive outcome.  Prayers for you.

Looking at RVillage, Cheryl and Mitch found a spot in Fort Myers Beach.

Once February is over, most Fort Myers area campgrounds will have campsites available. I can recommend Seminole in North Fort Myers, since it is very dog friendly (which matters to Rob Fla, but not us), it is people friendly and there are RV-Dreamers there.

We already miss being there since it is warmer and drier than here in Wildwood. But we have visited with multiple friends and today was a great day trip with friends to Blue Spring State Park. There were over 350 manatees at Blue Spring today.
