Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

machine embroidery on the road

Hi i was wondering if there are any fellow machine embroiders out there who take their machine on the road.  I couldnt live without mine.  I actually digitize new designs while i am on the road as well and want to know what sort of designs everyone would like me to do.  I should be able to give them to you on here for free.  What sort of things would you like that you cant buy?  What do you embroider on?  Who do you embroider for? Do you sell your sewing? Would you like designs related to the towns your visiting?

My DW does mostly quilting and her machine travels with us along with several cabinets of various fabric. When it isn't set up on the table it is stored behind her recliner. She doesn't do a lot of embroidery other than lettering on quilts and on clothing. She has a Jonome machine. Probably the reason she doesn't do other embroidery is because she doesn't use the computer and if she wants anything else other than the built in features I have to program them and I don't do that often enough to be any good at it.

Allison,

While she isn't likely to get on the forums to answer, my wife, Jo, has an embroidery machine or two and a serger.  She and our youngest son got together and built a sewing center for her that has been placed in the rear of our fifth wheel where the couch used to be.
