Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hey y'all - so far you have been a great help! Just a few more questions -
Am looking at these two for a couple of nights each to get us closer to Portland/Cape Elizabeth in the first instance and Pemaquid Point/Marshall Point in the latter. Any thoughts or other suggestions? Thanks again!
Becky
I am also a little stuck on the Bar Harbor proper area - I have several nights across the way at Winter Harbor but again am looking to get us a bit closer to the main portion of Acadia NP. Help!

Which one did you work for? Would you recommend staying there? Is it a convenient spot to either Portland or Pemaquid Point areas? As we haven't been to this area, we have no real sense of distances, travel time, etc. Our preference is not to be in the midst of a huge campground with lots of on-site amenities but rather to be someplace where we feel immersed in the surroundings of the area we have come to see.
Thanks for the help!

if you want a simple park that gives you a nature feel in the Bar harbor area Try Maine Ayer.....very simple old time campground......not a full hook-up but has a dump station.....110 & 30 amp hook-ups with water....waterfront sites on grassy areas....rambling roses everywhere....easy in and out of Bar Harbor
old time camping at its best!!!!.......never crowded with tourists!!!
