Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Looking for somewhere to go

We're near Raleigh, NC until Nov. 2nd.  We want to be back here on Nov. 23rd.  Trying to decide whether to extend our stay here or go somewhere else for a few weeks.  Wherever we go, we want to arrive on the same day, so preferably no more than 200-250 miles or 3 hours.  We were thinking of going to Myrtle Beach.  The campgrounds seem great with lots of great stuff to do.  My problem is that not only is there a lot of area to explore, but the campgrounds themselves are huge.  We have not received our urb-e's (electric scooters) yet, and without it, it is difficult for me to get around that much (can't walk for much more than 10-15 mins at a time due to my hip).  So maybe we'll hold off on MB until the scooters arrive.

Which leaves us wondering if there's anywhere else fun to visit that's easy to get around and meets the distance requirement.  Of course, there's lots to do in Raleigh so nothing wrong with staying a little longer either.

Manteo, Nags Head, Hatteras, are all beautiful and reasonable quiet this time of year.
Or if you head northwest the Shenandoah valley is 4-5 hours away, also beautiful this time of year.

Should have mentioned we're not quite ready to drive in the mountains yet, especially narrow winding roads. We'll also be spending a lot of time in that area in the Shanandoah valley in May. I'll look into the other areas, though.
