Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Excited to be Here!

Hi. My husband and I have been together for 20 years and we want to start full timing even if in Phoenix until we have the details worked out including income, health insurance, an rv and a truck. We are currently in our S&B having lots of garage sales and planning. We have been together 20 yrs. I am prior AF and looking forward to VA Discounts. My husband is a jack of all trades. He is currently in public safety/security and has a CCW. He is also an EMT, has worked with a FD in SD, Ca., trains people in first aid, CPR, and AED, runs his own business selling, installing and maintaining waste water treatment equipment at multiple facilities, and runs our Auto Detailing/ RV/ boat modifications and repairs business since 1998. He has a long resume of customer service experience as well as training and management. We have two daughters, 20 and 13. Our oldest is at ASU and our youngest home-schools. I served in the AF and have nearly a Doctorate in education and treasure my time with our youngest. We would ideally like to work camp somewhere on the west coast until we get our feet wet and then move east. We hope to be regulars at a camp spot each year workamping. We have two dogs plus one 11 yr old golden on the way to the rainbow bridge soon. Any info on jobs, great deals on RVs, medical insurance, etc., would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome! Best advice I can give you is read through the forums at your leisure and make sure you check out the "Home" page of the website and look through the information that Howard and Linda have provided. For the other info, you'll need to narrow your field some as to what types jobs, what type of RV and what you would consider a great deal, your domicile state will play an important role in your medical and other insurance choices. I am sorry about your golden and none ever stay with us long enough. You'll also want to look at laws on homeschooling if you are going to choose a different state other than AZ. AZ is kind of easy on homeschooling or was when we lived there and others, not so much to next to impossible in my opinion. So many choices..............

Welcome aboard.  Gotta agree with the Gypsy.  Peruse through the pages and use the Search feature.  You'll find an incredible amount of information throughout.  RVs, insurance, warranties, where to camp (probably where not to), technology, etc., etc.  I can spend hours in the evening and always find something new.

And when you get the urge, ask a question.  You'll probably have a lot of folks chime in.

Good luck on your endeavors and happy trails.

Thanks so much for your reply. I do spend a lot of hours reading on the life style and come from a long line of rvers! So I am familiar with a lot of the information but the internet has really made things easier for learning and planning!
