Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Class C Recommendations?

Hi folks! It's been a while since I posted here, but we are still working toward our RV dreams. I'm wondering what Class C models any of you would recommend? Our needs are to sleep 3-4 people, and I prefer the entry door to be just behind the cab with a kitchen first layout, but that's not an absolute must. We want at least 1 slide, and nothing too old, maybe 2005 on. We would consider older rigs in good condition though, as long as there is at least one slide.

So far my very favorite rig is the 2007 Conquest Ultra Super C, but there are so many choices these days, it's hard to know which ones are really worth considering and which are a waste of time.

Thanks in advance!

The only one I would recommend with a slide would be the Bigfoot.  Best Class C:  Bornfree, LazyDaze and Bigfoot.  Check very closely on any windows in the overhead bunk because of their tendency to leak.  The other two I would consider after those 3 would be the Minnie Winnie & the Fleetwood.  I have heard that those longer ones, 30+ don't handle as well as the shorter ones noticing that they make up the larger part of the used units on the market so that might be the reason.  That extra length with the overhang on the back seems to be where the issue comes from.  Some of the units just look off like out of balance front to back with the wheel placement.

Thank you for the info! I had the same feeling about the longer ones...I really prefer the smaller rigs anyway, hence the reason I am looking at Class C vs A. I will definitely look into the ones you've mentioned here!
