Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
http://shop.wbu.com/p/window-alerts-set-of-4 This is a link to window stickers you can buy. I purchased several of these stickers & they worked well to keep the birds from attacking the window. I did use quite a few of them to cover the area where the bird kept hitting the window. I think he saw the stickers instead of his reflection.
Don't clean your windows. Get enough dust on them and the dang birds will not see it as a shortcut to the spiffy perch over yonder. Okay, most people will not go that route. I see DRV has optional window silks(graphics that go over windows) that you can see out of but not in. Perhaps there's a product like that for your situation/application
We had that problem last year in Idaho. There was a chokecherry tree in our site and the berries were fermenting. So the birds would eat them and get intoxicated and fly into the windows. Not to mention the mess from the berries.
We have a pink & purple dragon on our door window (Figment from Walt Disney World) and have hummingbirds coming up all of the time trying to get nectar from the 'flower' they see. When that happens, we know to put out the feeder for them.
We have wood blinds on the windows, so we don't seem to have much of a problem with birds flying into them - - now walking on the roof - that's another matter!
