Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

My aching legs! But this time it wasn't yard work.

Saturday we completed our 4th 20ish mile bicycle ride over the past 6 weeks.  We are having lots of fun in riding together and seeing new areas on our bicycles.   This was the first time where I had serious leg pain after the ride was over, but it was also the most hilly ride we've had thus far.  Within 24 hours pain was all gone and I was back to my daily 4.5 mile walkbiggrin

However, as we were completing that walk, I commented that at least this time the aching leg syndrome was not due to the fall yard care activities of trying to get the yard ready for winter. YES!!!!  biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin  OK, I'd much rather complain that my legs ached due to fun physical exercise than yard work.

OK, complaining done, attitude adjustment complete.  Love this life on the road that has enabled 4 bikes rides in 4 very different locations over the past 6 weeks, 2 Urban rides in Boise ID & Sacramento CA, 1 ride through the wilderness of the MT/ID border and 1 ride into rural Idaho near Couer d'Alene.

Aches and pains that are the result of fun exploration are so much more tolerable than those of yard work, IMO!!!

Reading this as I know I have to get in the yard and do some fall clean up, and my bicycle hangs from the garage ceiling, I must say I am so happy for you! And I am truly looking forward to pulling my bike off the rack in Idaho and riding with my grand kids for fun, since many of my grand kids live there I'll get to spend some quality and quantity time with them once we are full time!

Once again! Yay for you! No yard work!! That's so great!

ID/MT border sounds like the Hiawatha.

Bill - it was the trail of the Hiawatha, the easiest ride we did in Idaho. Absolutely spectacular scenery, a ride we'd love to do again, but this time I'll be better prepared for how cold that first tunnel was.

Pruning the front yard this morning and thinking "I never have to do this again....!" It made it much more desirable
