Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I have 4 bags placed throughout the trailer and over this weekend the cats (Chloe & Nala) were in hunting mode at bottom of the stairs looking into the space below the stairs. Yesterday I placed a new bag in that area and last night Cheri was watching tv in Liv. rm. Cloe had a small mouse and they both were playing with it until it made it's escape. Will be getting the ole-reliable mouse trap out now, It's last meal will be peanut butter.

Safe travels to all, Take each day as a gift for that is truly what it is.
We had a cat, Creepers, that we tried to get to be enthusiastic about mice. I think he was a distant cousin to Garfield. There are some mice that are so small and crafty that you can't catch them with the snap trap and we had to use the sticky traps. I didn't really care for having to whack them after they got stuck but was better than having them face me down. We had some luck with those metal box ones where they get caught inside and can't get out but then you have to take them for a ride to release them. I'd rather just whack them!
We were just outside of Las Vegas Nv. last March. I went into the bathroom to use the loo, as I opened the lid I saw a mouse looking back up at me. It didn't seem to get out because the sides of the porcelain loo is too slippery and so I was able to put a plastic pail over it and slide a plastic road map under it. I then carried the lot outside and sent the mouse some distance form the MH. Long story short, we got some snap traps and after some days and several kin later we seemed to be mouse free.
I opened the cabinet below the sink, Micky 's cousin and I came face to face. I went out purchased some fresh cab threw some packets around and never saw him or a sign of him again. I was quite impressed.

The WAR is on here. Amazingly, after spending three years in one place in Oklahoma City, we NEVER saw a mouse in the fifth wheel. Now, we've been in Colorado just over two months and we have one, and he is a sneaky little devil.
It started out with rustling noises, which I thought were squirrels square-dancing on the roof. Then one morning, Jo spotted a mouse inside the coach. Uncertain as to whether Fresh Cab would work for us, we decided to get regular mouse traps. We were at the hardware store when we bought them, and along with the mouse traps, there was a liquid that one is supposed to put on the trap as bait. (Apparently they are supposed to attract without other types of bait.) So, we "baited" with the liquid and placed three traps inside the coach and I put one in the basement area, right next to the small opening I have going from the basement to the underbelly.
That next morning, I heard what sounded like the trap in the basement activating. So, when it became daylight, I went out to check. After all, one doesn't want a dead mouse very long to start stinking up the place. To my surprise, I opened the basement door to find that the little bugger took off with the trap. Apparently, he tripped it in passing and it got either a leg or his tail. All my looking with a flashlight was unsuccessful with finding either the mouse or the trap.
Next, Jo put peanut butter on the traps since we didn't have any cheese. I again put one trap in the basement. This morning, I went to check the trap and it had been activated. Peanut butter was gone and so was the mouse. I guess I need to "glue" the bait to the trap in some way to insure we trap this cagey little bugger.
