Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Staying a month - a New Optimal time to stay before moving on for us

I know not everyone will agree, but after having 2 different 1 month stays this year, we've decided we really like that length of time to visit an area. Why?  Well, we're both still working so we don't have a lot of time during the week other than a few evenings, and a 1 month stay ensures that we have at least 2 or 3 free weekends (depending on work / art show schedules) to explore, get to know our RV neighbors and visit friends and family in whatever area we're visiting.  After a month, we're pretty ready to move on but can say we look forward to visiting an area again.

It's only taken us 14 months of full timing to figure out a 2 week stay is just not long enough for us.  Living and learning as we go down the road.smile

Thanks for the insight. We were thinking of a similar schedule....figured it was more cost effective and would give us time to explore and do some work!

We are just starting .. and so far have reservation at 4 parks.. 1 month each.. down the left coast of FL.

I figure it should give us plenty of time to see everything a 50 mile radius has to offer... It may be too long in some areas.. we'll see.
