Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Fresh Cab Question

We have a mouse which seems to want to hang out at in our RV and eat our feathered kids leftovers.  We got some Fresh Cab and the instructions say it is for RVs, but it also says not to put it in living areas.  So where do you put it?  i did some research and it says it is safe for pets?  Thought we would put it in the back of our food storage drawers and maybe in the basement.  We have not seen any mice in the basement area.  Thanks for the help.

We used to have mice getting in thru our kitchen slide and into the the drawer area under the kitchen counter (no food there) so I placed a pouch behind the bottom drawer. We also place steel wool where they were getting in under the slide. With that taken care of we now only keep a couple of pouches in the basement and that seems to do the trick. The only reason I can think of that they say don't place in your living area is that when the pouch is removed from it's packet the odour, though pleasant is very strong at first and may bother some people. It's supposed to be a non poisonous product. We have never again had a mouse issue after using this product.

Good Luck!

I put it under the bed, under the washer/dryer area, in the back of the sink cabinet. I soaked cotton balls with peppermint oil and placed in the back of drawers and cabinets in food areas. After a week, figuring they were all run out of the main floor, I put one in each of the basement storage compartments. Haven't seen any mouse sign since.
