Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hello all, after dreamin for a couple of years now I'm getting ready to make my first RV purchase.

Not a neophyte when it comes to vehicles, their care and proper use, so I am open to trying a 34-38' Class "A" to begin with.

More likely a used unit to live in (as of now single/solo) and do some workamping and toting about a touring motorcycle to make day trips on.

The way I look at it is if I choose wrong, have issues with it or in plying the roadways in it, I won't waste a great deal of money learning the ropes.

Looking on the Gulf Coast or inland as opportunities arise, and close enough to Ft. Lauderdale to take advantage of cheap airfares to the Caribbean.

I do like the beach, treasure hunting with a metal detector, sailing-gunk holing (that's boon-docking on a sailboat!), and diving for dinner, particularly lobster.

Enjoy the campfire and meeting new people around it, sharing stories, grub and grog. And a good stogie to top it off.

Looking forward to learning about this tremendous life-style. Any thoughts are welcome.

Thank you for reading.

Welcome,

Think you're really going to love this lifestyle. Sounds like you're well suited for RVing.AHHHHHHHHH fresh lobster grilled on the dock, memories. I lived briefly in Ft. Lauderdale .Suggest you plan an extended trip out west at some point in your Class A. It's so beautiful and so different from Florida as you know. Can you tell we're a little biased about the west?

"WestWardHo", I like it. What Movie/Series was that from? I think I remember something about a wagon train, was that Ward Bond that was in that?
I spent several years in Northern California, graduated from HS there and had a TDY assignment to Travis AFB while in the service. I am pretty familiar with that part,
but it's been since my youth that I spent any real time in Southern CA. Wouldn't mind a run up from San Diego to say, Big Sur anytime.
