Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Sticking toe in water

Hello,

My name is Lisa and my husband is Todd. We found this website/community a few years ago and have been fooling around with the idea of going FT for some time but never got serious about it. Todd and I have a strong desire to wander or travel and explore but have always found excuses why we could not take the next step to a FT experience. Over the past 17 years we have moved 7 times but always to another sticks and bricks due to my false sense of security I thought it would bring. Todd said to me not to long ago “why are we fighting who we are”? We are finally ready to take the next step in our journey to freedom. We have started reach on what RV to buy and have only narrowed it down to a 5th wheel. We will not buy the truck until we decide what 5th wheel. We will hopefully be able to hit the road in 2015 if everything goes as planned. I am very excited about meeting new people and learning from FTers experience.

Lisa

Feel the warm embrace of the comforting waters.  Change is a spooky thing. Fear of the unknown.  By facing your doubts, you will sooner or later realize that you should have done it long ago. Of course each of us, in our own way, has to deal with that transition. You've taken the first step into a friendly community and a great resource for fulfilling your RV Dreams. Welcome... and enjoy the water!!!smile

RV Dreams Seminar...they have a section buy your third RV/First...basically, they help you figure out how to make the best first buying decision...unfortunately for us, we had already learned the hard way, and ha about 7 RV's before we ordered the one we plan to keep for the next 5-7 years...of course, this means we wasted ALOT of money! Welcome!
