Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hello from Susan and Rick in Westerville, Ohio

This is our first post! We are very excited we recently decided to start full timing next summer. I recently lost my job, and hubby has a project that will likely go until next spring. The kids are grown or finishing college.  The house will go on the market next spring and I am spending most of my time now getting rid of decades of accumulation! Why do I have 5 sizes of clothing??

We have a lot to learn since we know nothing, but this forum looks absolutely fantastic. We are leaning towards a Class A. Rick's biggest concern is the best way to tow the Toyota Highlander behind the RV. Mine is ensuring our animals - we have cats and dogs that are family - adjust well. Fortunately, I've seen a lot of posts from people in the same situation so I am looking forward to researching that.

Hello Robisons and welcome from another newbie (relatively).  I think you're going to find a lot of knowledge, resources, and a bit of humor thrown in in these forums.  A good bunch of folks.

Much luck!

Susan and Rick,

Welcome to the RV Dreams forums.  If nothing else, you've found one of the friendliest forums around, and it's loaded with a lot of knowledgeable folks.  So, when you have a question come up, be sure and ask it.  Oh, and there are no dumb questions.  The only dumb questions are those that don't get asked and it costs one in either money or time.

Have fun with the research and planning.

Terry

Hello Susan and Rick.  We are also relatively "new" to RV-Dreams Forum, but it is like a comfortable shoe.  I love to check it in the evening and feel like I am talking with friends.

We have had 3 different RVs in the past three years.  Our black lab easily adjusted to each one.  We bring her favorite bed cushion, which fits in many areas of the camper.  I reduced the size of her toy box and really cut back on her toys.  She is fine with that.  She does have water toys and throw toys, that I store separately. She has two water dishes, one inside and one outside.  Our bed is walk around, so that is familiar to her and she moves around as she wants.  We do not let her onto the furniture (couch, dinette, bed), but we do let her sit in the driver's or passenger's seat, when we are not in them.  This she finds very satisfying because she can see what is around us.  (class C).

Welcome aboard! ANN

Welcome! This website is wonderful and so educational! Everyone is extremely helpful and willing to answer questions.

We currently have a vintage Airstream but hope to get a larger RV in the next year or so. We travel with two dogs and have found that they have adapted quite well to living in 80 sq. Ft. Probably much better than me. :). Unless they have issues with car sickness they will probably do fine. Mine love to travel.

He Susan and Rick,

Paul and Kim here.  Like Lisa and Todd, we hail from Colorado and also plan on hitting the road full time in 2015.  We're relatively new to the forums but have already benefited from the knowledge and insight from a lot of good folks here.  I'm certain you will find the same.

Welcome, and safe travels.
