Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Looking to pick up a system this week. I've gone through the treads but don't see a more recent ones for perhaps newer systems? Looking at Tire Tech, TST and another one (can't remember name right now). Any preference, or are they all about the same?

Howard in his blog just commented that after trying another system still prefers Pressure Pro for reasons he outlined. Pressure Pro has been around a long time and for those that want a system seem to be pretty well proven over the years.
I have to take exception to the pressure pro system. In the first 18 months of having the system I had 5 wheel sensors quit working. I just had another quit. That's 6 sensors in 3 years. In fairness to pressure pro they replaced all the bad sensors, except this last one, even those out of warranty.
If I was looking for a new system today I would look hard at other brands. The pressure pro system is expensive, the most expensive of the systems I looked at. I expected much more out of pressure pro.
We purchased TST 507 pressure monitoring system for the Majestic and Ram. This will partially duplicate what comes with the RAM, but we liked the fact that we can actually monitor the pressure and temperature (versus the RAM system solely let you know when an issue has occurred).
We are happy with the choice, although we just ordered a repeater, because we periodically loose the signal to some of the tire after a couple hours of driving (which is resolved by stopping at a rest stop and re-establish the connection with the receiver that sits on the dash, by taking the receiver and walking around the coach).
The two systems we primarily researched were Pressure Pro and TST. We ultimately chose TST based upon reading various reviews of the two systems from numerous sources -- but I know Jack Mayer likes the Pressure Pro as well as Howard is now solely using Pressure Pro (versus a combination of the two systems).

We have had the Pressure Pro for 2 years now on our truck and 5th wheel with no problems. Our 5th wheel is 40 foot long and we do not lose the signal from it's tires.

Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.
We have the TST-507 system, have had it for about 18 months and we are very happy with it. We do not have the repeater, have not had any issues with losing the signal on the 5'er [40 ft]. We have a combo of both flow-thru and non flow-thru sensors and the batteries lasted ~1 year, changing the batteries was easy.
After much research we just purchased the TST 507 system a couple weeks ago so have no real time under our belt with it but like it so far.
There seem to be about 3 that came up the most when doing my research and I'm sure any of them would have done the trick nicely. When I finally narrowed it down to 2 I almost just flipped a coin LOL!!
Good luck with your choice.
I too am looking into tire monitoring systems, I as a local tire dealer about putting in the metal valve stems and they don't recommend them. Does anybody run the sensors on the stock rubber valve stems?
I would advice against installing senors on the rubber stems. You can get a lot of flexing on the rubber stems. I know pressure pro advises against installing on rubber stems.
I went with the Tire Traker. installed in about 15 minutes, works great. the customer service from Lawrence RV was great, I had a question and the owner answered it. best part about a TPMS is the peace of mind it gives you.
