Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Panama City, FL?

Looks like I'll be hunkered down here at my brother in law's house for a while (2 hip dislocations last week; 4th in 2 years).  We were in transit to visit him for a few days; he sure didn't expect us to move in for a few months!!!  I hope to have revision surgery this week but will probably need PT for at least 2 months.

Rig is in his driveway while we're in the house.  Hookups aren't available, no room to open all the slides and since we're still real newbies, Mitch isn't able to hitch or unhitch alone.

Be that as it may, I'm hoping that after some PT, I'll be able to climb stairs again and perhaps move to a local campground that's close enough to the PT place in Panama City, FL.

Can anyone recommend a place that preferably has FHU and pull thru sites within 10 miles?  I've researched it and haven't been able to find anything close by.  Hoping maybe I missed something?

Thanks in advance

We stayed at Panama City Beach RV Resort a few years ago. It was great but not cheap. There are a bunch of others in town too. As I recall it was never very busy (maybe the price). We stayed a couple weeks but the monthly rate was way cheaper. A block from the beach, quiet, paved pull thrus etc. It was just across the bridge from Panama City.  Not sure its within the 10 miles you wanted.

Here is a link to Panama City Beach http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/Florida/Panama_City_Beach.html. Don't know if any of these would be close enough to work for you or not. Also check with some local mobile home parks as they might let you in for a few months if they have a space.

Check out RVparking.com. They also have an app that I use in both my iPad and iPhone. They list all the campgrounds in the country almost.
