Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

18 months of dreaming/planning

Hard to believe we joined RV-Dreams 18 months ago.  Thank you all for your advice.  We have had our doubts along the way and prayed in earnest for guidance.  Things are speeding up now.  We have been purging stuff and moving items to long term storage from our home in Maryland to Alabama.  Our youngest son graduated HS this year and will join his older brother at Auburn University in Alabama next month (they tried to get into the University of Alabama, but they scored too high on the SAT…hehe…War Eagle!).  So, this weekend we are completing the last two major home renovations to prepare the house for sale.  Last weekend while working around the church, a fellow I never met came up to me and asked me what year model was my Jeep Wrangler.  I told him 2010 and he asked if I had ever thought of flat towing it.  I said yes, I had and he said he had a tow bar system for it that came off his 2010 and would not fit his 2012 Wrangler.  He said I can have it for FREE!.  I don't believe in luck, so it seems like a shove in the FT direction.  We are still shopping for the right DP MH.  We have narrowed our search to a Tiffin Phaeton or Bus and will be ready to buy once we move my son and sell our F-150.

I asked Pattie (DW) if maybe we should reconsider this crazy dream.  She said that if we back out now, we will live the rest of our life asking "what if we had done it?"  I think we have past the rubicon.

Hmmm...that free tow bar sure sounds like an omen to me! Sounds like the forces are moving you! "May the force be with you?" LOL! Good luck and maybe we'll see you on the road!

Took the plunge! Put a deposit on a 2007 Allegro Bus in Huntsville, AL with Woodard RV. The bus is a beauty and Jeff at Woodard RV specializes in used Tiffins making sure all issues are addressed and the coach is ready for the road. We are finalizing our funding and plan to pick it up Saturday 30 Aug. Spent the morning today cutting back tree limbs in our driveway to get the 13 foot tall rig up the driveway. Getting closer to the dream and now really motivated to getting house on the market.

Moving along quite well! And I guess the hesitation has dissolved. It's amazing what the "mind" will do!
