Aria Deluxe II Toilet

After searching around we decided on the Dometic 310 series toilet. It is the tall model with a porcelin bowl. Here's the website:

My wife thinks it's the best thing I've ever done for the RV. Actually the electric fireplace addition is the best...although she's really happy with the closet I converted to a small appliance garage...well then there is the desk we added...

Anyway, the Dometic 310 is very comfortable and sturdy (with the bidet attachment it becomes a true "throne").

Had one in my Elite Suite. It replaced the OEM Dometic electric flush that never worked. In the first year it went through 2 water valves (when the valves fail they fail open so the bowl would overflow). When the water valve failed again, I replaced the whole toilet with a $89 plastic model that was trouble free and still working perfectly when I traded in the Elite.

Is that one electric? At one site, the parts list spoke of a motor, so I'm thinking it is.

I'm not sure I like the idea of electric. If the electric fails for some reason, unless there is a manual override, one would be without a toilet.

We have a Dometic Sealand 510H in our Mobile Suites. It does drop straight down from the toilet into the black tank, so if your tank is not similarly situated, it wouldn't work as well for you. I like the 510H because I can use a flashlight when flushing and actually see the surface of the contents in the black tank. Plus, it is all mechanical and is about half the price of the Aria Deluxe II.

I have the Dometic Sealand 510. Just replaced it with a brand new one. Very nice and sturdy. Not cheapy and plasticy......................And everything seems to flow downhill quite well.

Hi Jo:

You asked for opinions: You don’t want a toilet that has much of anything that can break. Simpler is better in the most important system in an RV according to Linda. “Ask me how I know this.” I agree with Terry’s recommendation. We like that product.

To be more specific – when – not if – that motor or mechanism goes bad . . . well, just think about it.

I agree with bill ........the more parts it has the more it will break......the more bells and whistles it has the more it will cost.......add an electric switch or motor and when it does, it will draw more cash than your ATM....expensive toilet paper being thrown in the bowl !.. biggrin biggrin

If you do change type of toilet, check your mounting bolt pattern and try not to change it. Some use four bolts, some use three and it can be major work to change it depending on your RV. We have a Dometic/Sealand 511 (low rise version of the 510), with 4 bolts. With our RV, it is major work to change to a 3 bolt mount since the 4 bolt mount is built into the floor. (The 310 has a 3 bolt mount.)
