Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
My pretty, clean truck has become a trash truck! Later, yesterday, it was full to overflowing and I made the trip to the county landfill. I wonder how many more trips I'll have to make! Oh well, it's just another step towards full timing!
....there's some usable stuff in there...or at least, that's what I used to say.
On the other hand, Jo and I just did some re-organizing of our basement area today. We still have a little bit to do, but we now have a lot more stuff in tubs that won't be so susceptible to getting wet if we were to have another leak.
I've already advised folks to NOT have plastic tubs that have lids that could allow water to enter the tub. Just about every one of my Louis L'Amour books is ruined. I can also attest to try to NOT have anything sitting on the basement floor that is in a cardboard container.
Learn from me, folks.
Terry

Me too, Terry. I kept all of that "good" stuff! I don't know why!
Also, that is some very good advise regarding storage of items in plastic totes. Years ago, our S&B house flooded to 5 1/2 inches. It doesn't seem like much, but a lot of stuff was damaged. We had cardboard boxes of old family photos under our bed. They were ruined along with other keepsakes, books, etc. So, my stuff in the RV is in drip proof containers.
