Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

dodge ram tow mirror install

greetings to all,  it has been a long, busy road. house, small truck, boat and all furnishings sold...

now living in 36 ft fifth wheel - Sisney outback - one we like and could afford..

hanging local till fall then to Texas and later up the west coast.  loving it - thanks to everyone

on this forum for all the wealth of information.

does anyone know if the 2012 Dodge slt 2400 comes prewired for any mirror options

that are not on existing mirrors   Have short ones that are powered but no turn signals

want to replace with tow mirrors containing the signals if prewired.  Also would love info on how

to perform this exchange    Sorry to be so lengthy   Nancy and I really enjoy this forum

thanks to all..

I've been thinking of adding extended mirrors to my truck. My mirrors don't have signals in them but they are motorized. My guess would be if the wires are already installed then you can probably get mirrors with the signals. Let me know how you make out as I might be doing similar.

In desperation I removed the door panel ( simple enough ) 6 screws arond the perimiter

and one holding the door handle pocket.  then pop out the screw retainers.  the panel then can be lifted up an inch or so and removed

a central module contains the plug sockets for mirror wiring.  looks to be prewired for both motorized mirror adjustment and turn signals.

have mirrors on order - will agree or dispell my conjecture - I will let you know.

The Harness is in the door for whatever mirror you want to install. Easy upgrade to do.
