Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Feeling excited that we just worked our first job to pay for our space at a retreat center called Project Patch here in Goldendale Washington. It was a wonderful stay and enjoyed this area sooooo much. It is beautiful here in the Spring. Glad to get out before the heat comes though.
it was also nice to get outside and do some physical labor. We have been on the road 5weeks now and although we get out and hike and walk a lot, there is nothing like a little physical labor to revive the soul.....I am amazed at how many things there are to do and see in a given area. One week does not seem like enough time, but there are too many places to go and people to see.
If you get to Oregon this year and want to go somewhere remarkable and do not mind some passes check out The Painted Canyon and The John Day Fossil Beds.........Outstanding! So far my favorite thing to have seen although If pressed I probably could name 10 other things that were wonderful too!
Thanks everyone for posting so much....it keeps my spirits up when I do get a little lonely for home once in awhile.
Beautiful area of WA to spend a few weeks!! Love that entire stretch of WA / OR along the Gorge, especially east of the Cascades when spring starts. Have fun wherever the next travels take you.
Congratulations Kim, it does sound like a beautiful area. We spent last summer in Western Washington and didn't explore the Eastern portion as much as we would have liked. Are you taking time off now or on to another place?
Sherry

We are actually heading back home to Rainier Oregon/Longview Washington area. We are going home for a graduation then we will leave mid June again. Jack and I were just laughing over lunch how we left 6 weeks ago for the road and are just now coming full circle and probably only traveled 6 or 7 hundred miles. But we wanted to enjoy Oregon like we have not been able to before we head east to Pennsylvania via Minnesota in mid June.
Strange to go home so soon, but also one of the benefits of our journey is that we can go where we want even if we go in circles for awhile....LOL
I am looking forward to spending next summer in Oregon and Washinton as we have some of the best summer weather, but for this year we will head east into the heat and humidity for the love of family and friends!
Kim - have a great trip, maybe our paths will cross next summer when you are back in WA!
We hear you about summers in WA/OR, just crossed the CA/OR state line last Monday, will arrive in WA next Sunday for all of June/July, ID for August. Great place to spend the summer and a great place to be away from in the winter.
Sounds as though you are off to a great start and having fun. Can't wait to explore Oregon and Washington. We are hoping to be on the West Coast next summer.
At the moment at Myrtle Beach State Park, SC. We are traveling north from Florida. I knew it would be hot and humid further south but thought it would have started to cool off as we headed north. Hasn't happened yet!! We are hoping to continue up the coast and then head through Pennsylvania toward Niagara Falls. Maybe we'll run into each other somewhere along the road. Have fun & stay safe.
