Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
The hubs & I have been researching FW trailers for some weeks now. We plan to buy one sometime next year due to our need to make some preparations first. We plan to attend the big show they put on in January down in the Tampa area. We had a Dutchmen FW some years back for several years that we never moved but utilized as a vacation spot when visiting the Hiawassee/Hayesville area in NC, so we are somewhat accustomed to camping. We are looking at really retiring within the next few years & we want to see the country before it's all over. Don't know just yet if we'll ever full-time it but I know this much......going for one of the top of the line used seems to be the way to go, from what I have learned lurking in here & in other RV forums. We were considering Keystone units but I have doubts about that now, leaning more towards DRV or Excel.
Welcome to the RV Dreams forums. You will find it to be a good source of information as well as encouragement from the other participants. They are also helpful and friendly.
If you go to looking at used DRV's check out Rolling Retreats in Elk City, Oklahoma. If worse comes to worse, they may very well deliver anywhere in the continental U.S. They are a true "mom and pop" dealership with only Alicia and Slade as the employees and owners. They began buying used DRV's at auction after being repossessed and then going through them cleaning and checking all the systems. Now, they are full DRV dealer and do a lot of trading. Right at the moment, they don't have many used ones, but keep checking their site.

Adding our welcome. Sounds like you're making an intelligent choice. I'd also add a Heartland Landmark to your search criteria or if you will have a really big truck, a New Horizons!
Sherry
ps, I'm well aware I may get shot down on that really big truck comment!

Nothing wrong with a "really big truck"....but they are not for everyone.
You can pull most New Horizons with an F450, F550 or Dodge 5500. So you do not need a "really big" truck.
