Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Thanks to Bill & Linda and Howard & Linda and many others we had the MorRyde IS system AND disc brakes installed on our Trilogy last week.
This was about our 4th appointment at MorRyde, we had to cancel two earlier appointments because blizzards in the prior 8 months kept diverting us.
When we put on our new bigger tires, wheels and springs we canceled our 3rd scheduled appointment because our thinking at the time was that we would most likely take our Trilogy back to our CA lot and park it there because of Jesse's health issues. But as we talked about it and talked to Bill more, we decided to go ahead. Fortunately our time slot was still open.
Its the most unusual experience as one other RVer there said to us, we weren't asked to sign our lives away and give credit cards upfront! How unusual is that? We were treated like guests and everyone was friendly and welcomed questions. They gave us very accurate information and invited us back any time in the area to check our system.
We are so glad we did it because when we got there Keith, our tech at MorRyde said the new springs we had replaced just a few weeks before in Austin, TX had bands starting to come loose. This was the second tech who told us our spring system was just too light for the size of our rig.
You don't get a lot of sleep there because they tell you they start at 7 but in reality they start work at 6. The trains going by just behind their lot day and night add to the ambience.
Be sure to have your holding tank full as they do have electric hookups, there is no water access at present.
We're amazed at the difference in braking. Jesse believes he feels a difference in towing as well.
All in all a great experience and if you can fit it into your budget, we highly recommend it.
Sherry

Naturally I am very pleased that your experience was as good as ours always has been. We first put the MOR/ryde RL suspension on 2006 Chevy back in 2006, What a difference. "Worth every dime" to quote Linda after the installation. (They have the same upgrade for Ford's and Dodge's.) Then on to the Independent Suspension and all that means. A huge improvement over springs even with the equalizer system.
Maybe we've been lucky, but we've never had a bad experience at MOR/ryde over the years.
They have a huge business (you saw the expansion / construction going on) but still give what I think is very personal service. They even let you watch as long as you don't get in the way too much and will explain as much as your want. They don't make you go to a motel over night, you can sleep in your rig. They buy you lunch and provide free Wifi. But you must listen to trains. Can't do much about that.
All in all this is, in our opinion, the most consistent and quality shop we've ever been to.
I trust Red and Pam, as they have their suspension upgraded and the rig lifted to give them proper bedrail to trailer clearance, have the same experience.
We just finished up at Mor/Ryde yesterday afternoon. I can second everything Sherry said except, part of the shop comes to work at 3:00 am......you just can't make an air ratchet quiet LOL. No complaints though, they let you stay in your rig while up on jacks in the shop.
I would like to add one thing about the work environment there...after they finished our rig, they had us take a test drive and come back so they could check the system. This was right at the techs quitting time. Long story short.....the brake controller on our truck didn't recognize the new disc brakes because the lack of a magnet when we went from drum brakes to disc brakes. Our truck took 2 cams "an electronic part to correct this issue" and of course they tried one first before they added the second. Where I'm going with this, is we had all 4 service technicians staying after hours on a Friday to get us on the road. That's customer service!
We stopped for the night 10 miles down the road at a local campground. I can already feel the difference in the ride of the trailer. I know these systems tend to be expensive but I feel we got our money's worth and would recommend it to anybody thinking about getting one.

Red, that says it all. That all 4 techs would stay late on a Friday to make it right! We've been in shops, as I'm sure so many of you have, where they tell you we didn't get done so we'll finish up on Monday. We'll proudly wear our new MorRyde Tshirts!
