Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I seen a while back that "bjoyce" recommended the Breville Convection/Toaster Oven. I am curious as to what model each one is using. I seen the model 650 up here on sale but that model does not have convection feature. I think it's the model 800 that has it. Looking for good reviews and opinions because I don't want to buy junk then have to buy again.
The 800 is the one we have. Watch for store coupons to get a discount. In the US, we see "25% off one item" coupons from Bed, Bath and Beyond, which sells Breville. Cuisinart makes one that sometimes reviews slightly better, the TOB-260.

I have the Breville toaster oven & I love it. I didn't get the model with convection, since I already have a convection oven & didn't need a 2nd one. I baked a meatloaf in it last week & it came out great. I cook pizza, toast & lots of other things which have all come out perfectly. It's easy to clean too. I'd certainly recommend Breville.
We, too, have the Breville 800. We make toast in it, warm rolls or leftovers I don't want to microwave, I bake cookies and pies and other goodies in it. It fits perfectly on the slide out appliance shelf in our pantry.
I do not have success with our Frigidare convection microwave for baking. It's uneven, takes forever to preheat and turns itself off. I've talked to others who have struggled with it as well.

I also have the Breville toaster convection oven; not sure the number, just know that they have 3 sizes and mine is the medium size. I love it! I have made homemade scratch pizza, meatloaf, bread, stew, brownies, cookies and much more in mine. I have a convection microwave but the convection part never seems to work right as it seems to take forever to come to temperature and it does not cook evenly. I bought mine at Bed, Bath and beyond. Highly recommend it!
I love, LOVE, LOVE my Breville 800. I have it in my house and I use it more than my regular oven. Just FYI, the only thing I've found that doesn't do well is Stouffer's frozen lasagna. We love to roast chicken in it, and with the convection feature, it's so much faster. It was worth every penny IMHO.
I have not used my big oven since I got my Breville. I cooked a roast with vegetables the other day and it was great. Yesterday I used the warming function for some leftovers instead of the microwave and they tsated so much better. The best part is it doesn't heat up th kitchen like the big oven. Can't wait to try it on a roadtrip.
The other appliance I purchased recently was a steamer. I use these two every night and it sure makes cooking dinner easier.
