Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

RE: Class of 2014 Status update

Welcome, welcome!  I wonder if anyone else will be out before the years over?

Well Most have not heard from us in the last several months. I have been lurking off and on, but it was getting depressing due to farm not selling. So our dreams of being 2014'ers is not going to happen. There is a plan in works to have us out of here by May even if we have to rent out the farm. We have jumped through a lot of hoops in the last 2 months to split our land up and now have a buyier for two big lots. The house and remaining land is much more affordable, so hopefully that will sell fast in the spring and we won't have to rent.

Rick is retiring on the 31st so we are taking a cruise in January to celebrate 28 years of his job. Then it is fast forward to get the house sold and on the road so we can attend the reunion rally.

There has been a lot more going on, but I have not been around mainly due to reading about everyone and being depressed. So we are no longer going to be the class of 2014, but hopefully the class of 2015 early in the year.

Wendy

Wendy, I went through the same thing, so depressed because we didn't seem to be getting anywhere. Then, suddenly, things started to fall into place and the world was bright again. We're aiming for Spring 2015, at the latest Summer. Won't be able to travel for a few years, still have to pay off some debt, but we'll have our RV and mini-house, where we want to be, without the heavy load of our S&B. '15 seems like a very good year for our start.

It took us 3 years from the time we made the decision to the time it actually happened - lots and lots of obstacles thrown in the way. But like Dyana, things just suddenly fell into place fast at the last minute. Have faith - it WILL happen!

Had dinner last night with some 2014 RV Dreams grads at Hogbody's. Food was great and the company was better! It was suggested, voted on and passed that Bill will be the official selfie taker. He got this in one shot not using the selfie camera view!

Bill, Kelly, Ben, Trace, (Lee in spirit) Eileen, me and Jo.

Yay Class of 2014, so nice that we've all kept in contact and enjoy each others company so much!  I hope future classes do the same!

David and Sharon, so good to hear from you again. Any chance you can start a new topic and give us an update on how the sale went and have you have progressed? I am in awe of your story. Hope you both are doing well!!!
