Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Wow, things are moving quickly now! We bought our 5er last week and now we have our new truck. It's a 2013 Dodge 3500HD Laramie Longhorn Dually. The house/ranch goes on the market in May, and as soon as that sells, We are OUTTA HERE!
Sweeeet ride! Looks like you'll have great additional storage if needed and be very comfortable on the road. May is NEXT month!! Can you believe it? Have a safe trip to TN and back - AND have loads of fun at the rally!!
Congrats...............I new you'd do it. Make the right choice that is. The Longhorn is a nice truck, a buddy of mine has one. They are loaded and that's standard...not optional. You'll be quite happy with that truck. Comfort, power, class, and the list goes on.
No, as much as we wanted to pick up the truck/rig on the way to the rally, we wouldn't want to make sure there were repairs needed that would leave us stuck in Michigan and possibly miss the rally We'll pick it up right after so we have a few days after the PDI to get used to and make sure nothing (much) needs work.
So, you'll have to come to the fall rally to see it unless we cross paths along the way!
That is gorgeous. Think you're making the right choice about the rally but know IF you did decide to bring it you would have more help than you could wish for from all of us there! 😄 you could always take it back to the dealer afterward? Bet your travel is already booked so you can't change but it's just a thought!
See you soon.
Sherry

We'd LOVE to bring it. I mean, it's SO CLOSE! But between the rally and driving back to CA, it's already a lot of days off for Steve. He'd have to take a 3rd week off. We'd want to pick the rig up several days before the rally and unfortunately, that's just not going to work. DARN! And we have a son's graduation to be back for on the 16th. We don't want to have to rush back too much.
First off that is one sexy truck ...my plain jane truck will be jealous when we meet up :) it's a shame not to have the whole setup but you dont't want to rush it. We've been trying to get ours setup for the last two weeks and still aren't there. Keep finding other stuff we want to do. That experience is like setting up your first apartment and incredibly fun...so I am savoring it.
Deb and Steve... so happy for you! Congratulations on your new stuff! LOL! It is beautiful!!! Congrats, again, and we'll see you in a couple of weeks... in our cabins!!!
Very happy for you! Looking forward to meeting you guys at the Rally...I think we are site 214 or 204? Anyways, I'm sure we will all have a chance to get to know each other!
