Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Anyone Heading Through North Central Kentucky?

Hello All

Just thought I would throw this out there.  If anyone is heading through north central Kentucky in the next few months and need  a place to park for a few days.  Rick and I will happily let people mooch-dock at our farm.  We are off I-71 at exit 28 between Louisville, KY. and Cincinnati, OH.   We are right off the Interstate on a main road.  We sit well back though and have had at least one Semi back here, so we can get any RV that should be out there to fit.   We are on city water so, you won't feel that you would be draining the well or anything.

Our farm is going on the market in April, so the offer is good until it is sold and we can join all you guys out on the road.

Would love to meet other Dreamers and provide you a place to park for a couple of days.

Wendy

thanks for the offer Wendy, that's very nice of you! We are from Indiana just outside Indy and when we get that close to the grand kids, well let's just say "the horse smells the barn". LOL

Wow - what a generous offer! I used to live in LaGrange, right off exit 22!

I wish I knew when we were leaving on our trip (depends on when the house sells!) because that area will be our first stop! We will be seeing friends in Oldham Co. area on our way to see family in KS. I have actually looked for campgrounds in the area and there really aren't any.

What town are you in? Your profile says "outside Louisville", are you in Campbellsburg? If so, you must know a friend of mine who lives on a farm out that way, Wind Ridge Farm.

What a small world! BTW - I also noticed on your profile - you and my husband have the same birthday - although he is a few years older!

Not that I hope your farm takes long to sell, but it would be great if we could meet up and hang out with you guys when we come past there!

Best of luck when you list!

Kelly

We live in Pendleton. Where the 2 pilot truck stops are. That is one exit North of the LaGrange exit. It may take awhile to sell the farm. You have to find the right buyers.

So your husband is a MayDay child too. I love when my Birthday falls on Derby. It is fun to celebrate during the 'Run for the Roses.'

Too those who have not been in Louisville during the two weeks prior to the Kentucky Derby. Thunder over Louisville is something to see. It is the largest fireworks show in the US and 5th largest in the world. They also do an awesome airshow the same day. So put that on your bucket lists.

Ok, I must have misread the birthday, Bills is Jan 5. Oops!

We did go to Thunder Over Louisville a few times while we lived there, but even when we didn't go, we could hear it in LaGrange. We even went to Derby once, our first year there - I had no idea it was a full day thing. I even wore a big hat! I even drank a Mint Julip with breakfast! Was a fun but LONG day! Just wish someone would have told me not to wear heels, my feet hurt for a week!

The kids used to love the bed races! And the balloon glow!

We will be in touch!

Thanks again!

Kelly

Hi Wendy,

We are headed that way before going to the the Tennessee rally. We want to be in Louisville first thing Monday morning to get a customer truck cover made so are looking for a place to stay Sunday night that's close to Louisville...were going to ask the truck place if we could stay but would much rather meet you :) I'll send a personal note and see if you will be available April 27th.

So sorry to have missed you. I got called away this weekend for something and was away from my computer. Hopefully you can come through again.

April 27th is wide open. If you need somewhere to park.

Wendy
