Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
DH and I now own 5th RV. We have had varied experiences purchasing them all.
I wanted to share a good experience with y'all. We learned of a motorhome for sale on consignment at a dealer in Flint Texas.
I went to the website which is Go Play RV. There were several excellent photos of the motorhome and it was exactly what we thought we wanted so I made the call. I spoke with the owner of the dealership Joel. He told me the pluses and the minus's of the motorhome. I decided to give him a deposit on the phone. When we arrived in Flint the RV was ready for our arrival and we were able to stay on site in the MH while we learned to operate everything and were comfortable leaving. Everything Joel had told us was exactly as he had said. He was very detailed and spent a good deal of time with us.
If we ever decide to purchase #6 we would take ours there to sell on consignment and purchase from them again.

We also had a good buying experience. We bought our used Vista 35F at McGeorges in Richmond, VA and the salesman was Bo Hurst. He couldn't have been nicer. My 90 y.o. Mother with us and he was very attentive to her. Making sure she was comfortable had something to eat or drink while we walked around. He was courteous and low pressure. We put a deposit down and when we came back two weeks later for closing there wasn't any pressure to add on anything else. They took a couple of hours to do a walk through and explain everything. I wouldn't hesitate to buy there again.
Buying an RV is a huge decision. I enjoyed having confidence in the person I was dealing with. It is nice to see others have also had a good experiences and shared them. I should add on the selling side Joel has a great turn around time on consignments placed there.
