Regarding your question, my husband and I were originally looking at the Cedar Creek 38FL. I LOVED that floor plan. Hubby - liked it but didn't love it. Trouble he had with it was he felt it didn't have enough storage. We actually went to see one and tried to find a spot for where we would put certain items. I came away from that agreeing with him, not as much storage as some other units.

Now that I have said that, I have "chatted" with a few people who own that exact unit and they like/love their 5ers. It is personal preferance. Since it seems you like front living rooms, you might check out Open Range, they one and also Heartland has one or two. I have no idea what your budget is, but I believe both those are in the same ballpark as the ones you mentioned.

If you haven't already, go to an RV show, or at least several different dealers, spend time imagining yourself doing the things you do in it. That was good advice we got here, and ultimately helped us choose a perfect for us unit! Something we considered also is can you get to the bedroom, bathroom and frig with the slides in. To some people, those things are not issues at all, to others they are very important.

Also, I don't know if you have your truck or not, but if you do, the towing capacity of your truck is of HUGE importance! I don't know how to figure all that out, there are plenty of guys here that can explain it, if needed, just ask.

we looked at the Keystone Montana front living model when they first re-introduced them a couple of years ago. Probably would have traded but didn't want the debt a/t/t.

Yes the truck is a 3500 dodge dually diesel, so I think he did right there. My husband really likes the front living because of his height, so many slope off toward the closet if it is not front living so he cannot stand up to get in the closet, he is 6'3". And yes I do like being able to get to some key items even when the slides are in, I have tried to look at the front living that has two doors because the second would give me access to the bathroom even at a picnic area. He says our budget is around a hundred thousand but I am a penny pincher and would like to keep it around 60 to 70 if possible. I know I am going to be a dreaded pain with this because I research up side down and side ways on anything I buy.

I love the Montana, I just do not like the warranty and the fact that they think everyone is tall, just under 5' I would have to have a step stool to reach in the freezer. I started at a big RV show in Ft Worth and we have kinda settled on the front living or front bath, so now I am driving people crazy that actually live in them to see what their experiences are.

I have been reading on insulation, leveling, heat pumps, different type windows and this sort of things. I hope you all do not get real aggravated with me because some of my questions my seem stupid but the only way I know to get answers is ask.

We also checked out the Montana front living room several years ago and I was intrigued with it as it was very charming. Several points discouraged us.

1. The kitchen cabinets were very limited and at 5'8" I would have needed a ladder.
2. If one (especially tall one) wasn't careful standing from the upstairs sofas it would be easy to hit your head on the cabinets above the sofa.
3. We enjoy the rear window view from many places we stay. Although to often think that MH owners enjoy their views from the front windows.
4. Unless one was laying on the sofa to watch TV, you would be turning your head sideways.

Check out the Trilogy's (2013,or later) with the 8'5" ceiling clearance in the living room and very adequate in the bedroom.

We have a Redwood 36 FL. We love it. It has 2 doors so you can access bathroom and kitchen and living room when the 5slides are closed. It is a full time rig. They now make a 38 FL. Take a look a both floor plans. I would recommend Explorer in Canton Tx salesman Evan.
