Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
When you think you have everything figured out & everything going as planned. Murphy grandmother shows up. For example-we are planning on going full timming some times late summer. Boat (sold) motorcycle (sold) downsizing tools and household items. Realtor drawing up paper work. Rv bought. Looking for tow vehicle. Put rv in shop for some small items repair. Thats when murphy grandmother shows up. Rv was on dealer lot behind a 10 foot locked fence. The rv was broke into tv's an personal belonging were taken, cabinets were torn off the front wall to get
tv out. But on the bright side. We only had one key for the door on the rv.Now when they replace the lock we will have 2 keys for the door.
Oh that is awful! I am so sorry. I hope your comment about two keys was humor you're managing to maintain because it was definitely looking at the bright side.

So Sorry, Better see if you can send Murphy and his Grandmother packing. Things will get better. Hope the RV was insured. I've heard of several incidences of this happening while RVs are in for repair. Praying that things will go smoothly from now on.
sorry to hear about this. Unfortunately the rigs are "sitting ducks" in these situations and the bad guys know there are TV's and "stuff" inside them. Friend of ours, Nick and Terry Russell, were having some repairs made to their motorhome in Elkhart Indiana a couple of years ago. They are fulltimers and were staying in their rig behind the shop while the repairs were being made. They returned to their rig late in the evening after going out to eat to find the door open and Nick "ran into" the bad guy coming out the door as he was going in. Bad guy pointed Nick's handgun (that he was stealing) out the door at Nick so he slammed the motorhome door on the guys arm causing him to drop the gun. Bad guy then pushed his way past Nick and ran off but was later arrested at a local hospital with a broken arm. Very scary situation and could have ended much worse.
Hopefully the repairs to your rig will be minor and you can get back on track with your full time plans.
Phil
ps: sad to see you sold your motorcycle. We just couldn't part with ours, so we drag it along. Lots of good bikin roads out there to explore.

Let's hope that's the last time you'll ever meet Murphy and his relatives. Several years ago both our house and our RV were broken into, while were at work, by two elementary school kids. Not only did they steal all my jewelry and everything they could carry, they vandalized the house spraying stuff on the walls, etc. They were caught because the next day they were giving my rings and earrings to their friends on the school bus! Burglars are everywhere, too bad we can't cut off their thumbs like they did in medieval times.
