Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Its a pretty good Nor'Easter its supposed to last a day or so with up to 16".......the wind already started blowing and the temps are headed below 0 here!!!!
Wouldnt be so bad but the Snow plows woke me up this morning @ 5 .........My little Trek is fairing well and I have safe place to go so all is well!!
Think I will go to Florida or the dessert for the summer to make up the difference....LOL

We are grounded as well, with the same awful cold temps. We probably won't get out until tomorrow afternoon I'm guessing. I think God is testing our resolve to go fulltiming this year - in warm weather! :)

Mike, we're pretty sure the Lucky in front of your name is a misnomer! I hope we can be as cheerful as you when we go to the pool tomorrow in 78 degree weather!
😩 Sorry,
Sherry (the Brat!)
Seriously stay warm friends!

Thinking of you Mike. We got over a foot here in Keene and I definitely have the winter blues. I just keep thinking this is hopefully the last winter ever!!
hey mike I cannot believe you stayed in New England this winter!
we made it to lake county in florida just before turkey day and are settling in.
we watch the weather channel every day and count our blessings, dh especially likes to call our old neighbors to ask them how cold it is, lol.
it's not warm here but the only ice is in our drinks!
I really enjoy New England , But everytime I attempt to escape or find an alternative medical facility something goes wrong!!
Im hoping this will be the last round and I can move along....surgery should be in Febuary or sooner....then a few months of healing up and I sneak out of here again!!!!........sad part is I always want to come to New England when the Snow melts.......LOL
life is good!!!!!
Live ,breathe & relax!!!!

oh heck, I know what you mean. I left dana farber at the end of October much to my teams' dismay. they insisted that I stick around 'just in case'.
well heck, 'just in case' to me means i'd better start having fun, 'just in case'!
I compromised by agreeing to fly back for their tests at the end of this month.
I sure hope this weather has calmed down by then, sheesh!
mike I hope spring finds you hale and hearty and ready to roll.
Mike: Most of us know you aren't staying by choice. Sometimes even wheels limit one's mobility and I know there are several out in the RV park here working on contracts that must be having a rough time even though it isn't as cold here although we expect -10 degrees tonight and KS is known for wind. And, will the snow melt this year? As you can tell, you are sort of central to the website here and if you don't surface for a couple of hours, everyone starts to fret.
Thank the Lord and hope the creel don't rise! It has been raining since about 2:30 PM and hasn't made the changeover yet but it has been a high of 57 and will have a Winchill of -10/-15 by AM and not getting much above +10 tommorrow; then another cold night before it gets to 21 Tuesday and recovers into the low 30's Weds.
I guess you have to do what you have to do; Mike and I tend to believe the hospital has to pay for the medical; which is why you have stayed. I just hope you aren't facing -30/-40 temps in the RV.

Its actually nice today ,its 31 out....but....rain is coming turning to ice with temps below 0 tuesday , its gonna get dicey around here!!!
I am lucky enough to have use of a mobile home here for a month or 2 so Im in good shape!!!
have'nt been able to leave due to critical medical problems that make traveling a no-no. until they stabilize them it could put me and others in danger if I was driving.. and worse if no one was around to help....(Basically I'm grounded..LOL )
alot will happen in the next few weeks and we are hoping for surgery soon to rectify the problem.....after that Im sure I will be in Physical therapy and rehab till after the snow melts but hopefully it will all come to an end in a good way!!!!!!
Live ,Breathe , Relax.......and enjoy each moment for all its worth!!!!
Thanks for asking , I made alot of real friends here and look forward to meeting each one!!

Mike, I know we are new and have never met you, though I/we have followed your "journey" via this forum. I must say that even your current experience in all its aspects, while difficult, is still instructive for those of us still waiting to begin, already living the RV Dream and anyone who hasn't faced the issues you have. Mostly, I want to say that your ingenuity, perserverence, can-do attitude and positive outlook is an inspiration for anyone regardless of what problems they might be facing. We are constantly re-energized by the calm you display while facing adversity and the good will by your many aquaintances and friends you have here and likely elsewhere, we'd consider ourselves "lucky" to counted among them, says volumes about your character.
Hope your journey gets easier soon, we feel you've earned it.
