Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi everyone! I'm stoked to join this forum. I have been very encouraged by all the information RV Dreams provides here without making themselves out to be the all knowing source of information. I really respect that.
ABOUT US:
We are VERY close to being debt free and fed up with working in corporate America. I have worked in a high stress environment(semiconductor fabrication equipment) for the past 15 years as an engineer. I love what I do but not enough to continue pursuing the almighty dollar away from my lovely wife. (I know I'm weird) We are currently doing all the research into full time RVing and I decided to join my first forum. I look forward to learning much from you all and Lord willing maybe even have the opportunity to meet some of you.
Hopefully we can get you see whats available out here and get your "Wanna-be" to a " Gonna-be" !!!!!!
There are some great Folks here from all walks that make it such a great source of information and lasting friendships!!!!!!
Ask away!!!
The Chat room is normally functioning around 9pm EST there are several there for a live round of casual relaxation and questions from all around the country.........Enjoy!!

Welcome to RV Dream Forum. I've been dreaming of FT over 10 years and just like you I'm in the final process. Our initial plan was to hit the road in 2018 but we changed the original plan and are working to make it happend in sept 2015 or before. Like you we have enough of the stress and the pressure to perform at work. In a few days I will make another step toward the freedom, in fact I will complete the documentation for my retirement as of april 21st 2014. I think that after 5 years has a paramedic and over 25 in the police I gave enough. Last september we went to the Hershey RV show and that trip changed our perspective, since my mind is focus toward fulltiming.
If you ever need any idea about RV literature or website, send me an e-mail.
Welcome. Beginning debt free is the most important thing starting off, so you are doing well.
I was a "planner." I planned for six months straight, knew exactly what truck trailer combo I wanted, down to the very last detail. I ended up NOT buying what I planned and it has worked out better. The moral of the story: Plan away but stay flexible to other opportunities.

Welcome and congratulations on nearing your debt free lifestyle.
The folks here are wonderful and it is the best forum for everything RV-living. Having spent some time on another large RV forum recently I am confident in saying that this is the place to be for friendly, fun and informative folks.
We hit the road in 2015 and hope to see you out there!!
Hello Fergus! Glad you joined us! When our youngest moved to KS this summer John and I decided to sell the house and move closer to work and the airport. Once we learned we had lost the equity in our house this crazy idea presented itself. We researched it for a few months, started shopping and moved it last month! We are loving it! We can't wait to close on our home 12/23/13. We aren't retired but looking forward to a mobile lifestyle.
