Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
My name is Tracy Perkins and I am an avid RV dreams journal reader who has finally decided to say hello. My husband Lee and I are actively working our get ready for FT plan with an estimated launch date of Jan 2015. Howard and Linda have been major inspirations for us as we work our way through the getting ready steps. Look forward to getting to know some folks better.
Hi Tracy and welcome to the forum. As you probably already know, there's lots of friendly folks here so If you have questions, be sure to ask.
Good luck with your plans,
Jim

Welcome Tracy! Howard and Linda have done a great job here as this website is a rose among many thorns out there as everyone knows that has been "out there". We are in the planning stage also and don't enjoy that part but a dream without plans..............
Welcome to both of you, I wish you good luck in your future plan, in our case we should follow your steps around sept 2015. Several months ago I was questionning myself why should I wait until 2018 to become FT maybe I had some fear or didn't know if I was ready. I sent an e-mail to Howard and his reply made me change my mind and change the departure date. In another word he just kick my butt and gave me the confidence I was probably looking for. I hope one day to be able to shake his hand and thank him and his wife for their fantastic website.
We've been married a long time...25 years... And have spent a lot of time talking about things and doing little. Last year our best friend passed away from cancer at 46 and I think we both knew it was time to stop talking and start doing. It's sad it took a death to prompt us, but we feel what we are doing is in part to honor his memory.
We hope to be FT next summer. We will also be at the TN rally in April and look forward to meeting you! I've enjoyed everyone's helpful info, tips and blogs. This is a great family to be part of.

We signed a contract on our house today and the departure date is Nov 15th. I wanted to go back to my first post and share a few thought.
1. We made the date hooray
2. Howard and Linda are even more of an inspiration after we attended the rally
3. I've made some of the best friends of my life through this foru
4. I gotten great advice and support through every step of the process.
5. My posts are waaaay longer than they were starting out lol
Trace: Great news and I am really happy for you especially with the season there coming to an end. I'm guessing you are in a sort of shock, pinching yourself to see if it is a dream? No, not a dream, but dream come true!
