Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.


We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

CoachNet Trip Interruption insurance?


When we broke down on Sunday and called CoachNet's emergency number, Jesse was told to save our campground receipts and submit them for reimbursement and our towing was covered. We have stayed in touch with CoachNet to let them know we may have to extend our stay because the truck is back in the shop and may need to be towed to another spot as the campground has a group coming in with the spot we've been in reserved months ahead. Yesterday we were told no problem, just call them and they'll send a truck to move us. This morning Jesse called Customer Service at CN (a different number than their towing number) to inquire how long our trip interruption would cover and they said they do not cover our costs for a breakdown, only for a collision or accident and they're saying they can't move us again in the park to a different site we've been offered. He's on the phone with them still waiting for a supervisor and I guess we need to pull out the policy. 

1. Don't trust what you're first told, confirm As dispatch people don't understand the coverage.

2. If Good Sam is different or better, let us know As others in our campground have said Good Sam paid for their stay but we don't know if theirs was an accident or brake down.

no personal experience but your question got me thinking since we just re-upped our GS Roadside a couple of day ago. This is from their website FAQ section:

Q:
What is Trip Interruption Assistance?
A:
Trip Interruption Assistance is a reimbursement benefit when your vehicle is unable to be driven or towed for more than 24 hours as a result of a collision with another vehicle. For a maximum of ten consecutive days, you can receive reimbursement for up to $200 per day; that's $1,200 back in your pocket. Trip Interruption Assistance is only available if the vehicle isn't considered a total loss by your insurance carrier.

Corporations and sales businesses are always quick to sell us a product or service and will tell us the moon is made from the finest blue cheese. Then when it's time for them to make their restitutions; it's we never said that!!! Reading the fine print; we have to have a super microscope to read between the lines as to what they will actually honor. Phil and Rudee were quoting Good Sam.

Verbal agreements are just that not worth their words!!! If given verbal I always say; "can you put that in writing" and we will get "it" notarized just to be safe!

Out of curiosity, I looked at the website online. I found it very "fuzzy" and they seem to have 2 or 3 levels of service up to "premiere" so I am guessing that it may depend on what level you have whether or not they cover your expenses in this case.
