Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
My name is Kelly and I live in Alabama. I have started devouring all I can about the full-time RV lifestyle. It has always been a dream of mine to do. I am just now realizing I can embark on this dream, even while working age. My husband and I are hoping to start our full-time road trip Fall of 2014 or Spring of 2015. I am from Montana and can't wait to RV up there. I already work remotely for a business, so I feel like I have one step in the door..or OUT the door, I should say. We only rent a small 900 sq ft. apartment now, and don't have much stuff, so downsizing will not be a problem. But we have debt we need to pay off and of course a 5th wheel and dually truck to find and purchase. I can't wait to get to know you all. I will be blogging my journey, even before we hit the road, I already bought my domain name. So I can't wait. It's all so exciting...and I am a little nervous too, but finding out all I can will help so much! God Bless!

***On our way to reaching our Full-time RVing Dream :-)
You will find RV Dreams to be a great resource for information about what entails a full-time RV'ing lifestyle. It also helps that the folks here on the forums add to the knowledge base with knowledge about almost every form of RV.
Feel free to ask questions and never think that a question is a "dumb" one. We learn best by asking every kind of question so as to make good decisions that won't bite us later.

Welcome! Sounds like you're on your way. Paying off those debts faster will be easier with your dreams firmly in mind. Hopefully that will make it all easier too.
Keep reading and searching this forum with your questions. Using the search button in the blue bar at the top of this forum gets you lots of different opinions and answers.

Hi kelly
we hope to start full timming in late summer of 2014 to. We still have a house to sell. This form has a lot of info in it.I have learned alot in a short time just reading all the input. Good luck with your journey.
Welcome Kelly! We were also dreaming of doing this in the future when we retire, but like you, we realized we can do it now with our occupations! You are lucky that downsizing will be easy for you. Our house is not all that big, but it still feels like we have so much to get rid of! Tomorrow we tackle the garage :)
Hope to see you on the road,
Jo

Welcome! You found an excellent community of fellow Dreamers! We started our journey just about 4 months ago, and we have fast tracked through all of it And couldn't have done it without all the great people here!
We also currently live in a small apartment and didn't think we had much 'stuff' to get rid of.......we were certainly mistaken and after having yard sales, craigslist and giving stuff to family and goodwill everyweek for 3-1/2 months there are still a few items hanging around!
