Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We rented a 6' x 12' enclosed U-Haul trailer to use to haul the last of one of Jo's sister's belongings from Tulsa to her new home in Colorado Springs and have officially started our vacation that will last for just over 2 weeks. We have found the temperatures to be pretty darn "cool" up here and poor old TJ is feeling his 16 years. So, we went out to a local business and while this thing doesn't have the Carhartt brand name, we call this TJ's Carhartt coat. And for those that notice, TJ has cataracts in both eyes and can barely see anything. He is also practically deaf and can only hear sharp, loud noises like clapping hands. While surgery could help his vision, the vets tell us that even putting him under for the operation could kill him. He is still a happy dog and loves being with us, especially since we had to put down his long-time companion, Lady a couple of weeks ago.
We are also hoping to meet up with two different RV Dreams families while we are up here. Jack Mayer and his wife are here in the Colorado Springs area for about another week and Cindy lives up in the Denver area. Since we'll be going to Denver a week from tomorrow on Saturday the 5th of October, we hope to meet up with her that day. I still have to call her yet.

Glad you made it to the Springs! TJ looks great in his coat, which is good to have for this cold snap we're having. But Monday & Tuesday we're going to be back to the mid-80's, at least here in Denver. So he won't be chilly for too long!
Terry and Jo! Be Safe, Enjoy and take in some of that Rocky Mtn.; AAAHHHH! Experienced that in 1980 when I; the wife and kids drove through Estes park. Wild!
TJ looks spry for an oldster! PIEERE

Enjoy the vacation, sorry we missed you in Colorado but it was time to leave when the floods started!! You and Jo will still be in OKC in March, right? If so, we'll be in touch then as we'll be "kidnapping" the grandtwins for part of their spring break and giving their parents a day or two off!!
I guess I should mention that Jo and I are looking at retirement from the state of Oklahoma around July of next year. However, part of what we are doing in Colorado is looking at job possibilities and locations as to where we might park our RV and live and work for a while yet. We will be in the same vicinity as Jo's two sisters and they are working at setting up an online business for sewing products that may also have embroidery on them. With that in mind, if Jo were to find a job where she needed to be here sooner than July 1, we would go ahead and move earlier.

Terry and Jo...
My sympathy to you on the loss of your "Lady". Our daughter had to put her 13 year old JRT down in May, and just yesterday they had to put their Lab to sleep after a long illness. It is a painful thing to deal with. We can only hope there really is a Rainbow Bridge. Pat K

The best of good luck with all that happening.I know just how much you are looking forward to getting moving around. That would be very nice.
Very sorry about the dog. We’ve had to put one to sleep as well. Very hard to do to a member of the family but too much pain for the life to continue.Others have literally died in our arms. You do become attached to them.
