Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.


We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

A sad way to start the day.

Woke up this morning to the news of yet another mass shooting in your lovely country. It is so sad that people can still reach such dispair in a country that offers such love freedom and acceptance to people. Praying for the families of the victims as they grieve. Also praying for the family of the perpetrator as they feel the scorn of those around them. A very sad way to start the day.

Steve,

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.  However, I wouldn't take offense at your tagline in any way.  As many veterans here would say, "When the time comes, there will be those that run towards the sound of gunfire."  They will go to either confront the perpetrator(s) or to aid the wounded.  In that sense, your tagline is appropriate to the mentality of all those that would respond to acts of violence.

I am a resident of Oklahoma City, and as you know, in April of 1995, the worst case of domestic terrorism occurred here.  In that case, people again rushed to aid the injured and work to save lives.  One civilian nurse was even struck by a piece of falling debris while trying to aid others and was mortally injured.  However, America is not alone in being able to celebrate the actions of those that rush to assist others.  It is a world-wide occurrence in times of need.
