Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Williston Crossing RV Park in Florida

In searching for a place in Florida to stay while enroute to the Keys I came across the Williston Crossing RV Park in North Central Florida. They look very nice and have gotten good reviews. They have a special rate for first time visitors of $99 for a full week. We made our reservations for next Spring - I thought I'd pass this along in the event anyone was interested.

Safe Travels!

Stayed there in 09. Park was just about bankrupt (I have heard it has improved)pool not working, no restrooms when the hall was closed (over night) etc etc. Sites were nice. At $99/week its a great deal. If I was in Florida, I'd try it again. The only downside is that there is (was?) nothing in Williston or anything close.

We stayed there for 5 nights in Sept of 2011 and it was really nice. Beautiful swimming pool, club house, sauna, and lots of activities at the clubhouse. At that time they were part of the Passport America program, (they do not honor PPA at this time), and the cost was reasonable. The regular cost however is much more than we would be willing to spend.

If you can stay for $99 per week, I'd say, "Go for it". It was nice when we were there and the people in the office were very helpful.

We stayed there last March, and it was nice. In fact, the Heartland Owners Club had their rally there while we were there. That is a good deal. Go to Cedar Key while you are there! And if you like to hike, check out the Barr Hammock Preserve. Beautiful hiking trail.

Good to know they've improved since '09 - could've made for a long week....

We're not Full Timers - yet - so this is just one of the stops in a 3-4 week trip. We lucked out and got a spot in Bahia Honda for five days but will be sure to take a look at Cedar Key while we're down there. And hiking is always on the agenda, thanks for the tips!

We're also bringing the motorcycle and the kayaks so we'll have some other things to do away from the campgrounds. Now it's just counting down the days.....

You maybe already know this, but just in case you don't...Cedar Key is not down in the Keys - it is on the west coast, maybe 45 miles from Williston. :)

But after just googling it, it looks to be a great day trip from Williston, thanks!
